Canadian Graduate Quantum Conference
What is CGQC?
Welcome to the first annual Canadian Graduate Quantum Conference!
Jointly hosted by the Canada First Excellence Research Fund (CFREF) institutes, Quantum Matter Institute, Institute quantique and Transformative Quantum Technologies, this conference aims to foster collaboration and provide a survey of the exciting research in quantum physics taking place across Canada.
This conference is organized by graduate students for graduate students! Open to all students and postdoctoral fellows completing Quantum mechanics research in Canada, this is the event for you!
Work with other graduate students, hear about current research initiatives in Canada, and learn how to connect to industry partners both during and after your graduate studies.
The first two days of this three-day conference will focus on connecting students studying quantum mechanics across Canada. Poster sessions, student speakers, lab tours, networking sessions and special keynote speakers from each of the three CFREF institutes will provide a detailed survey of the research taking place across Canada and spark the interest to harbour future collaborative opportunities.
The final day will focus on how students can connect with industry for internship or future work upon graduating. Our industry partners will be featured in a morning panel session, followed by an afternoon industry workshop.
All of this taking place in beautiful Vancouver!
